Today was another MEAP review for the test coming up in one week.  We are trying to familiarize the students with the different types of problems that they might see.  This week was about putting table information into a graph and finding the rate of  change in a table, a graph, and a word problem.  Everyone had the opportunity to get some late work in but from now on it is expected to be in by the next day.  No more late work.  None will be accepted once it is a week late so encourage them to get it done.  Have a great weekend.

Today we started Lesson 3 which is about making graphs with our tables, answering questions about linear and non-linear graphs, making sure we understand our independent and dependent variables.  Grades have been updated and it seems some students are having a really hard time turning in items.  Please be aware that these missed assignments become 0 which will really affect their grades!

This week we are getting more into MEAP Review as it is just around the corner (two weeks).
We are also focusing on creating tables and graphs that display data and understanding their variables and rates of change.

Today we told stories about graphs.  Some we created and some were created for us.  Tomorrow we will be continuing with this content and finishing up all other work. Have a great day!

We are working on identifying variables, classifying independent and dependent variables, and explaining relationships between the variables in graphs.  Lesson 1 was presented today with a worksheet that may have to be completed at home.

The end to the second week is here.   Everyone is readjusting to the new school year.  We are finishing up Discovery Ed testing and our graph projects today.  Have a great weekend!

Today we started finishing up our Jumping Jack activity with a graph of our data.  This activity was done in groups and took a few days to accomplish.  The next two days will be Discovery Ed testing.  Again this is for school use only!  Have a great day!

Learning is in progress today!  Students went over vocabulary to remind them all about graphing.  Their assignment was to finish a picture graph of a sailboat using coordinate pairs and following specific directions.  This is to be completed for homework if not finished in class!

Today we started MEAP review.  The MEAP is going to sneak up on us in early October so we want to be ready.  These will be items that we work on in class....individually or in small groups!

Today the 7th graders took a Pretest exam.  This exam is to use as a base point to measure how much their knowledge grows over the course of the year.  It does not count as a grade and is for school use only!

We took care of some expectations and getting to know each other.
