October 12, 2012

Wow...what a week.  We managed to get through MEAPs this week....with anticipation for the Math MEAP on Tuesday next week....Yay!  This week we covered and recovered information for our second quiz which we finished up yesterday.  Progress reports will be coming home with these quiz grades included.  Please help your children understand that we have 6 weeks to go until the end of our 1st trimester and now is not the time to goof off during class.  We need to be serious about our education and do our very best...ALWAYS!

Today is the beginning of MEAP.  It is very necessary that your children get plenty of rest and a good breakfast before the test.  We will be wrapping up some odds and ends in the next two weeks regarding our Variables and Patterns Unit while testing.  Please advise your children to turn in all work when assigned.
Have a great day!

October 4, 201`2

This week we worked on writing simple Inequalities to word problems and graphs.  We also have been learning how to write linear equations to tables, word problem, and graphs.  Next week starts MEAP and will be spending some time working on getting ready for that as well as wrapping up our first Unit on Variables and Patterns.

September 28, 2012

Today was another MEAP review for the test coming up in one week.  We are trying to familiarize the students with the different types of problems that they might see.  This week was about putting table information into a graph and finding the rate of  change in a table, a graph, and a word problem.  Everyone had the opportunity to get some late work in but from now on it is expected to be in by the next day.  No more late work.  None will be accepted once it is a week late so encourage them to get it done.  Have a great weekend.

Tuesday, September 25, 2012

September 25, 2012

Today we started Lesson 3 which is about making graphs with our tables, answering questions about linear and non-linear graphs, making sure we understand our independent and dependent variables.  Grades have been updated and it seems some students are having a really hard time turning in items.  Please be aware that these missed assignments become 0 which will really affect their grades!

Monday, September 24, 2012

September 24, 2012
